Where therapy happens
In-Home & Community Therapy
In-home and community therapy brings sessions to the places your child already lives, plays and learns — your home, the park, sometimes the classroom. It is a delivery setting rather than a separate discipline, available across physical, occupational and speech therapy.
What this therapy supports
- Practising skills in the exact place they are needed
- Working on real routines: mornings, mealtimes, bedtime
- Setting up your home so it works better for your child
- Reducing the load of travelling to appointments
- Supporting children who find new environments hard
Signs your child might benefit
None of these mean something is wrong. They are simply the things families often notice before getting in touch.
- Your child does well at the clinic but the skills do not carry home
- Travelling to appointments is difficult for your family
- New or busy environments are hard for your child
- The routines you most want help with happen at home
- You would like practical support in your own space
What a session looks like
Your therapist comes to you, and the session uses what is already there — your kitchen, your stairs, your child's own toys. Nothing has to be recreated later, because the practice happened where it counts.
We serve families across the Bay Area. Get in touch and we can talk about whether in-home therapy is a good fit and what the travel looks like for your area.
